1. Requesting Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your Foreal account and all associated personal data directly through the app:

Confirm your choice when prompted
Once confirmed, your account will be immediately deactivated and your data will be queued for deletion from our active systems.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your account, we take the following actions:

Profile Removal: Your name, photos, bio, interests, and preferences are permanently deleted.

Chat & Match Data: All winks, matches, and chat conversations are permanently deleted from our servers.

Location Data: Any stored location information is cleared.

Analytics Data: Aggregated or anonymized analytics may be retained for app performance statistics (non-identifiable).

Device Identifiers: Any linked device IDs or tokens are removed from our active systems.
After deletion, your profile will no longer be visible to other users, and your account cannot be restored.
3. Retention for Legal and Safety Reasons
In certain cases, we may retain limited information for a short period (up to 90 days) after deletion if necessary to:

All such retained data is stored securely and deleted automatically once the retention period expires.
4. Deletion of Linked Accounts
If you registered via a third-party login (e.g., Google, Apple), deleting your Foreal account does not delete your linked Google or Apple account.
To remove access completely, revoke Foreal’s permissions from your third-party account settings.
5. Verification Process
To protect user privacy, Foreal may require identity verification before processing manual deletion requests sent via email.
This ensures that only the account owner can authorize data removal.
6. Data Backup and Removal Timeline
Deleted data is removed from active databases immediately and purged from secure backups within 30–60 days.
We use encrypted storage and secure deletion methods to ensure permanent data removal.
